Hello! I’m Hannah Elaine.
“I’ve been drawing and painting ever since I could hold a pencil, but it’s my relationship with God & my desire to see the beauty in everyday life that has truly shaped my work.”
Creating art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents dubbed me "Doodlebug" at an early age—a nickname they still call me to this day. I've been earning an income through my creativity in one way or another since 2017, experimenting with just about every medium and art-making technique you can imagine while discovering what felt most like home. In 2020, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio. Despite all of the twists and turns along the way, I’ve found my way back home to painting.
I've been drawing and painting ever since I could hold a pencil, but it's my relationship with God and my desire to find beauty in everyday life that have truly shaped my work. Every lesson—both joyful and difficult—has played a part in forming who I am, and I strive to reflect that perspective in my paintings. I see the world as vibrant, hope-filled, and overflowing with colorful possibilities, and my greatest desire is to share that way of seeing with others.
My paintings are less about fitting into a particular style and more about telling a story through color and subject matter. I want people to feel something when they experience my work. Whether it's a long-forgotten memory, a sense of peace, or a spark of joy they haven't felt in years. I believe art has the power to connect us, stir emotion, and remind us of the beauty that surrounds us. Above all, I pray that my work reflects God's goodness, grace, and the wonder of His creation.
When I'm not reminding myself to sit up straight while painting my next piece, you can usually find me running and training for my next race, baking my famous Hannah Banana Bread or chocolate chip cookies, playing with my two fur babies Alice and Flynn, or spending time with my wonderful husband, Ben.
